Bambu Lab vs Flashforge Black Friday: What Should You Buy?

Bambu Lab vs Flashforge Black Friday: What Should You Buy?

Bambu Lab and Flashforge are discounting different printer architectures this Black Friday, so the lowest price is not always the best value.

Black Friday printer deals are easiest to compare when the machines are grouped by the job they are meant to do. A $329 four-colour printer is not automatically a better buy than a $359 printer with a larger build volume, and a $789 dual-nozzle machine solves a different problem from a $799 four-toolhead printer.

This guide compares official US Black Friday snapshots checked on October 28, 2026. Prices are before tax and delivery unless the table says “after coupon.” Store stock, regional pricing and reward eligibility can change at checkout. The recommendations below are based on published specifications and bundle contents; they are not a substitute for a hands-on test.

The short answer

  • Best low-cost multicolor deal: Flashforge AD5X at the direct $329 Black Friday price. It is the lowest entry price in this comparison, but its four filaments share one extrusion path.
  • Best multicolor ecosystem and larger build area: Bambu Lab A1 Combo at $359. Its 256 mm cube and included AMS lite make the extra $30 easier to justify if you want a larger work envelope and Bambu Studio workflow.
  • Best enclosed value: Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro at the direct $359 Black Friday price for a compact, enclosed single-colour setup; Bambu P1S at $349 is the stronger alternative when build size and software integration matter more than a camera and filtration.
  • Best tool-changing value: Flashforge Creator 5 at the direct $649 Black Friday price. It uses four independent toolheads rather than flushing one nozzle between colours.
  • Best advanced enclosed comparison: Bambu X2D AMS Combo at $789 versus Flashforge Creator 5 Pro at the direct $799 Black Friday price. Choose the X2D for a dual-nozzle support/material workflow; choose the Creator 5 Pro for four independent tools and an actively heated chamber.

$300, $400: A1 Combo vs AD5X

PrinterBlack Friday priceBuild volumeColour methodEnclosureBest for
Bambu Lab A1 Combo$359256 Ă— 256 Ă— 256 mmAMS lite, up to four filaments through one nozzleOpen frameLarger multicolor prints, easy setup and Bambu Studio users
Flashforge AD5X$329 direct Black Friday price220 Ă— 220 Ă— 220 mmIntegrated IFS, four filaments through one nozzleOpen frameLowest-cost decorative multicolor printing

The AD5X saves $30 against the A1 Combo at the direct Black Friday prices. That is meaningful if your priority is a first multicolor printer at the lowest possible price. The trade-off is the smaller build volume and a shared extrusion path: every colour change still involves a filament transition and the associated purge or prime strategy.

The A1 Combo costs more, but its 256 mm cube gives you roughly 1.5 times the nominal build volume of a 220 mm cube. It also includes AMS lite and uses Bambu’s established profiles and Bambu Studio workflow. For someone printing larger helmets, organizers or multi-part models, that extra room can be worth more than the $30 saving. Both are open-frame machines, so neither is the sensible choice for routine ABS or ASA work without first checking the manufacturer’s material guidance.

Value verdict: choose AD5X for the lowest upfront multicolor price; choose A1 Combo for the more flexible size and software ecosystem.

$350, $550: P1S vs Adventurer 5M Pro

PrinterBlack Friday priceBuild volumeEnclosure featuresMulticolor
Bambu Lab P1S$349 printer-only; $509 with AMS 2 Pro Combo256 Ă— 256 Ă— 256 mmEnclosed frameOptional AMS 2 Pro
Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro$359 direct Black Friday price220 Ă— 220 Ă— 220 mmEnclosure, camera and filtrationNot a factory multicolor model

The 5M Pro is the cheaper enclosed package at the direct Black Friday prices. Its camera, HEPA/activated-carbon filtration and compact footprint are practical advantages for a workshop or shared room. It is a single-colour printer, however, and an enclosure is not the same thing as an actively heated chamber.

The P1S starts at $349 without an AMS. For a single-material buyer, that is $10 less than the coupon-adjusted 5M Pro and provides a larger 256 mm cube. The P1S AMS 2 Pro Combo at $509 is a different comparison: it adds automated filament handling and drying hardware, but the $150 premium over the printer-only P1S only makes sense if you expect to use it.

Value verdict: pick 5M Pro if enclosure, filtration and a built-in camera are the priority; pick P1S for the larger build area, Bambu software and an upgrade path to AMS 2 Pro.

$650, $800: Creator 5, Creator 5 Pro and X2D

PrinterBlack Friday priceBuild volumeCore architectureChamber
Flashforge Creator 5$649 direct Black Friday price256 Ă— 256 Ă— 256 mmFour independent toolheadsOpen frame
Bambu Lab X2D AMS Combo$789256 × 256 × 260 mm main nozzle; smaller shared dual-nozzle areaDual nozzleActively heated to 65°C
Flashforge Creator 5 Pro$799 direct Black Friday price256 × 256 × 256 mmFour independent toolheadsEnclosed, actively heated to 65°C

The Creator 5 is the value specialist at its direct Black Friday price. Four independent toolheads can reduce the need to purge a shared nozzle during a colour or material change, but tool-changing also introduces calibration, tool parking and material-compatibility decisions. It is most attractive when you regularly print multicolor or multimaterial parts rather than only occasionally adding a second colour.

The X2D asks for $140 more than the Creator 5 and adds a dual-nozzle workflow and active chamber heating. Dual nozzles can be useful when one nozzle handles support material or when two materials need to remain loaded without a long filament swap. Its shared dual-nozzle workspace is smaller than the headline main-nozzle envelope, so check the model dimensions before ordering.

The Creator 5 Pro costs only $10 more than the X2D at the direct Black Friday prices. It keeps the four-toolhead layout and adds an enclosure with active heating up to 65°C. That is the more direct choice for a buyer who wants independent tools and a stable chamber for suitable engineering materials. It is not automatically better for every print: a dual-nozzle support workflow may be simpler in Bambu Studio, and material limits still apply.

Value verdict: the Creator 5 Pro has the strongest hardware-per-dollar case for four-toolhead printing; the X2D is better aligned with a dual-nozzle support workflow and Bambu’s software ecosystem.

Coupon codes and rewards

Flashforge codes

Flashforge’s 2026 campaign distinguishes coupon-site codes from creator/content codes. Codes may be region-specific, may have minimum spends and should not be assumed to stack. Enter the code on the product page or cart and confirm the final total before paying.

From November 1, these are the direct Black Friday prices shown on eligible product pages. The October 20, 31 early-bird campaign used one-point rewards to reveal the same advertised prices; that early-bird mechanic should not be treated as a current checkout requirement. The codes below are separate promotions: check the product, region and minimum spend, and never assume that two codes stack.

Bambu Lab coupons

Bambu Lab’s Black Friday pages do not publish a normal text coupon code for these printer deals. Instead, qualifying accounts can redeem reward credits for a local-currency coupon:

CreditsMinimum spendCoupon value

1,00070030 off
2,00090050 off
4,0001,70090 off

These coupons cannot be combined with other coupons, expire 30 days after redemption and require checking account eligibility. They are not included in the sale prices in this article. Redeem only after confirming that your exact printer configuration qualifies.

How to choose without being misled by the crossed-out price

First decide whether you need an open frame, a passive enclosure or an actively heated chamber. Then decide whether multicolor means a shared nozzle (A1/AD5X), dual nozzles (X2D) or independent toolheads (Creator 5). Finally add the items that the bundle does not include: AMS/IFS hardware, a camera, enclosure accessories, spare nozzles, adapters and filament.

Also compare the complete basket. A $329 AD5X is not the same purchase as a $359 A1 Combo if you later add a multicolor feeder, extra plates or a camera. Conversely, paying for an AMS or four toolheads that you never use is not a saving.

Final recommendation

For most first-time shoppers, Flashforge AD5X is the lowest-cost route into four-colour printing, while Bambu Lab A1 Combo is the better all-round value when the larger build volume and software ecosystem matter. For an enclosed single-colour machine, Adventurer 5M Pro wins on included camera and filtration; P1S wins on volume and upgrade path. At the upper end, Creator 5 Pro is the best value for an actively heated four-toolhead workflow, while X2D remains the better fit for dual-nozzle support and Bambu’s software experience.
